Fire and Blast Information Group (FABIG), UK invited Sharad Gupta to present at their 89th Technical Meeting: “New Insights into Risk Assessment” held in Aberdeen and London on 30 Nov/1 Dec 2016. His presentation on “CFD based Explosion Risk Analysis (ERA) using Time Varying Release Rates in Dispersion Simulations” showed how this approach could lead to improved accuracy in dispersion results, steeper overpressure exceedance curves and significant reduction in Design Accidental Load values, whilst still maintaining some conservatism and also reducing the total time required to perform an ERA.
